This adventurous excursion unfolds around the village of Wanagiri in North Bali, renowned for its unique waterfalls. Are you staying in the north of Bali? It's just a 30-minute drive. But even if you're on the other side of Bali, it's worth taking a little over an hour's drive to visit Banyu Wana Amertha, an incredible location famous for its numerous waterfalls. The area is unparalleled in beauty, allowing us to get up close to pristine nature today. During the rainy season, up to four waterfalls can be explored. Banyuwana is the largest, where we witness water gently cascading against red cliffs and the lush foliage of bamboo forests. The sound of splashing water and the unique tropical plants make the area so peaceful and undoubtedly worth exploring. All age groups can participate in the waterfall tour. The route has minimal elevation, and the steps are well-maintained. The first waterfall is reached after a 15-minute walk through plantations surrounded by tropical flowers and bamboo. After visiting Banyu Wana Amertha, we proceed to Banyumalas Twin Waterfalls, about half an hour's drive away. Cascading like flowing curtains, they cover the rocks, revealing a natural pool perfect for a dip in the fresh mountain water. After the waterfall hike, we enjoy a local lunch in the charming village of Munduk, surrounded by rice fields. We then continue to the idyllic Tamblingan Lake, where our local guide, Ibu Made, awaits with her traditional canoe for a lake crossing. For generations, villagers have paddled across the lake, flanked by Bali's largest tropical forest, providing us with a good introduction to village life during the boat trip. After the canoe ride, we are driving back to the south coast, expecting to arrive in the late afternoon. |
