Sidemen is located in the eastern highlands of Bali, about an hour's drive from Ubud or Sanur.

For much of the way, Sidemen resembles Ubud with its emerald green rice terraces, mountains, and divine nature, but the area is more untouched and attracts far fewer tourists than Ubud.

It is tempting to call Sidemen 'The Authentic Bali.' When we add a 3-kilometer-high volcano as a backdrop to the rice fields, we get the perfect postcard motif.

On this full-day tour, we've captured the best of both worlds. You'll cycle through villages, enjoying the iconic rice fields. We are not in a hurry and make stops at small workshops as we pass through villages and are invited inside.

Afterwards, we start on a two-hour hike, where you'll see and taste Salak fruit, which grows specifically in this area of Bali. We'll pause on a hill, gaze across the landscape, and catch a glimpse of the coast at Candi Dasa.

We'll have a delicious lunch with a farming family, where the main ingredients are grown in the backyard. We'll also take a stroll on the "farm" and see everything from coffee, mango, papaya to a myriad of exotic vegetables.

Sidemen is the gateway to the daily lives of the Balinese, so pay attention to the small details and revel in all the unique experiences unfolding before your eyes.
