A day filled with action & culture

Visit Payungan, a local village that offers an authentic and unspoiled glimpse of daily village life. Over the years, our close collaboration with Payungan Village has provided our guests with a unique insight into rural living and the pristine nature beyond Ubud. 

Following a scenic 1 hour drive north, you'll reach the Telaga Waja start point for your joyful rafting adventure. Competent guides will equip you with essentials for the 18-kilometer rafting journey, including a helmet and life jacket. Our focus is on your safety! 

Enjoy the 500 meter walk through rice fields that leads you to the river, where the rubber boats are waiting for you. Get ready for a joyful journey filled with light-hearted excitement, and feel the motion on the stomach when the laughing muscles are touched, but it still doesn't get any wilder than that children up to 8 years old can join.

The rafting adventure, spanning 2.5 hours, concludes with a delightful halfway stop at a waterfall, allowing for breaks and local refreshments. Proceeding halfway to the endpoint, a 200-meter walk takes you to the shower and changing area. 

A 5-minute drive transports you to Payungan village for a well-deserved family-style Balinese lunch awaits in a private courtyard next to the family temple prepared by the local chef. Kadek, your guide, leads the village tour, providing a close-up experience of village life, glimpses into families, and samplings from lush kitchen gardens.
